Kim Delaney was an American actress from America. The actress is best known for her role as detective Diane Russell, in the ABC series NYPD Blue. For this she won an Emmy Award. The most notable role she has played is her role on All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney, the only daughter of an United Auto Workers senior executive and a domestic worker, was raised by her four siblings. Although she was a child with a goal of becoming journalist, it wasn't until high school that she began modeling. Following her move away from New York City and gaining an experience working as a commercial model in New York did she achieve the career as aspiring court reporters. Delaney was portrayed as an innocent child in the 1981 soap-opera All My Children. Delaney's career has been filled with numerous television films and dramas. As with her professional career but her personal life hasn't been a success or happy one. The talented actor has had to battle alcoholism, and she has experienced two failed marriages. In 2005, she lost the custody of her son.
